Hi Crew families-
I hope you are enjoying vacation week.
I want to start off congratulating the Novice Girls who rowed against Brooks today. They came in both first and second! They do not need to attend the race Saturday. If they choose to come and cheer on the team, they will need to come with their own transportation and cannot ride the bus.
Race this Saturday, April 25, Varsity VS Middlesex NMH, Brooks @ Brooks. All athletes should know if they are competing. This is listed as a varsity event but there will be some novice teammates. Thus, the reason this is being sent to all families.
Buses will leave CBC at 11:00am. Athletes should be at CBC no later than 10:30am. As a reminder, all athletes travel to and from races on the bus with the team. Athletes are expected to unload the trailer and re-rig boats upon their return to CBC and won’t be dismissed until all equipment is put away.
We will be serving pre-made turkey and caprese (tomato, mozarella, basil) sandwiches that athletes can grab as they are departing from CBC on Saturday morning. They can eat on the bus or save it later, depending on their race schedule. On site we will have a snack tent with fresh fruit, chips, granola bars, etc. If this menu does not work for your athlete, they should plan to bring other food with them.
If you plan on attending as a spectator please find the maps of the site, course, and schedule linked below.
The address is 1160 Great Pond Road, North Andover MA. It looks like it takes an hour-plus to get to Brooks. There should be guidance once you arrive as where to park. Parking is free.
If you cannot attend or for a better view of the race, you can watch livestreaming at Brooks: https://www.brooksschool.org/athletics/livestream
Results will be posted the next day on Row2k
Hope to see many of you this Saturday.
Thanks, Shannon
