The CRLS Crew team works best with significant volunteer help. The maintenance committee is asking for new parent volunteers of younger athletes to come to Launchapalooza on Friday 3/11 and Saturday 3/12 to get us ready for the upcoming Spring 2016 season. Please RSVP to Sue Fisher if you’re able to attend.
Here are maps of each location: Cambridge Boat Club (CBC) and Newell Boathouse.
Friday 3/11
- Time TBD at CBC, 2-3 volunteers needed to organize the outboard motors. Heavy lifting required.
Saturday 3/12
- 10:00am at CBC, 1 volunteer needed to re-fill our three gas cans with gas. Will be reimbursed.
- 10:00am at CBC, 5-10 volunteers needed to carry our Solo launch to the water. Heavy lifting required.
- 10:00am at CBC, 1-2 volunteers needed to install the motor on our Solo launch and test that it works.
- 10:00am at CBC, 2-3 volunteers needed to locate and inventory various launch safety supplies from the boatbay including: life jackets, paddles, hand pump, boat hook, etc. and put them back on board all three launches.
- 10:00am at CBC, 1-2 volunteers needed to drive the Solo launch down the river to Newell Boathouse.
- 11:30am at Newell Boathouse, 5-10 volunteers needed to carry our White launch and Black launch to the water and tie them single-file to the Solo launch. Heavy lifting required.
- 11:30am at Newell Boathouse, 2-3 volunteers needed to pilot the White launch and Black launch back to CBC as they get tugged along behind the Solo launch.
- 12:00pm at CBC, 3-4 volunteers needed to install the motors on our White launch and Black launch and test that they work.
