Register NOW for Fall Crew 2024: Deadline is August 13!
The final notice from CRLS about registration went out today via email. Please register NOW as we cannot register you after the August 13 deadline.
VARSITY AND NOVICE:
- Register to be on the team here: https://secure1.cpsd.us/athletics/
- Have an up-to-date physical exam and upload it to the registration portal.
- Complete an online Concussion course and Implicit Bias course here: https://nfhslearn.com/courses and upload the certificates to the portal.
- After registration, new athletes should have received information about baseline ImPact tests via your SCHOOL email. Complete the test and email the ImPact certificate and please include your sport in the email subject. Impact test certificate is the only piece of paperwork that should be emailed to the school trainers. This baseline is required every 2 years. When these first 4 items are complete, please send a note to the trainers that everything is complete and uploaded.
- New athletes must sign a waiver with the Cambridge Boat Club. Following completion, please email to crls@cambridge-boat-club.org
- All athletes are required to join USRowing https://membership.usrowing.org/ at least at a Basic Membership level and sign their online waiver in order to compete with the team (Team code is BSK4V). This can be done now (cost is $25 for Basic) or you can wait until after the first week of school when we register new athletes as a group through the athletic department. Parents and guardians will still need to sign the online waiver after their athlete is signed up.
NOVICE ONLY:
- A swim test is scheduled during pre-season for novices. The test is to swim 2 lengths of the pool and 10 minutes of treading water/staying afloat. If a student cannot pass, we will have personal flotation devices on hand for them to wear while they are in the boat. We encourage students to work on swimming proficiency and the lifeguards are happy to re-test later in the season.
