CRLS vs Winsor and Newton Country Day (Girls Only)
The girls 1V – 5V will be racing Winsor and Newton Country Day School tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
Racing will take place in the CRI pond (i.e. the section of the river near Community Rowing on Nonantum Road, see map below). If you’re interested in watching, the first race should start at 4:15pm. Check with your athlete for the lineups and exact race schedule. The race is about 1400m long, and starts at roughly the public boat dock past the last of the CRI docks. The boats will head upstream, past the Newton Yacht Club, and finish at the drainage pipe.
The current schedule (updated 5/1) for this afternoon’s racing is as follows:
5V – 4:15 PM
4V – 4:25 PM
3V – 4:35 PM
2V – 4:45 PM
1V – 4:55 PM
There aren’t a lot of great vantage points along the course, but if you want to see the finish, this is a good place to stand.
