Good afternoon, CRLS Crew families –
Per my previous email, Mass Publics (Massachusetts Public School Rowing Association) will now be hosted by Watuppa in Fall River. Preliminary schedule is available here.
I understand that Fall River is a longer drive, but this is preferable to canceling the event! We still need volunteers, so please sign up here. (If you need to change your volunteer role due to the change of venue, please do so by the close of business today!) Carroll and crew will reach out to volunteers to discuss logistics tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned!
As noted before, regatta organizers are asking that each team provide a certain number of volunteers to help with regatta operations. We have to provide at least five volunteers. A sign-up form and job descriptions are available here. South Watuppa Pond doesn’t offer the best views for spectators, so volunteering with race operations is a great way to see the action up close! And younger siblings make excellent stakeboat holders! If you opt to help out with race operations, please let me know so that I can ensure we are in compliance!
In summary, Mass Publics is still happening, and the team still needs our help! Thanks to everyone who has stepped up, and thanks so much for your patience as we pivot with respect to our new venue!
